11. Design-a-saurus

The ultimate dinosaur rests in the power of your imagination.

Draft a sketch of this mythical animal but remember the key features of dinosaurs:

• they were only terrestrial animals
• they had straight legs tucked underneath their bodies
• they were somewhere between birds and reptiles

Remember to highlight what’s so special about your dinosaur by labelling its key features.

Notes for teachers

Challenge students to ‘Design the ultimate dinosaur!’ and then present their design to the class. After each student has promoted their dinosaur encourage them to build their beast using papiermache.
